Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American journalist. She anchors SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. The ability that allowed her to get her first job as an Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she collaborated with producers for television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Eventually, they settled in Mexico City and she was born there on November 22, 1985. There is also an older sister. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. They divorced shortly thereafter and her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession called Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. While on a vacation, Antonietta stayed at her sister's house in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered the job of his dreams. Antonietta who was in high school having a clear idea of where she wanted her future to be, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. At the end of the day, she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a the opportunity to study a major. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University for a master's degree of media studies. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was part of her class, developed a lasting relationship with the student. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she strived to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
